I believed the WMD narrative for the longest time...but I never called the doubters those things. Just Bush haters.
And now that I'm older and wiser, I think past-me would be calling present-me a Bush hater too.
They had WMDs.
We know this because America gave them to Iraq.
We also know this because we found supplies of them.
It was only after those WMDs were found and the narrative already existed that they said “oh those aren’t the right WMDs”.
Most importantly it wasn’t Bush or Republicans making the “we gave them the WMDs” argument before the war.
It was Democrats.
Hate Bush all you want. That’s fine.
But you’re accepting another fake news premise on WMDs.
The same way people here are clutching their pearls because 50 people out of 500,000 got too worked up at the Capitol and the media whined about it.
We sit here and complain about fake news all the time and how Trump does such a great job.
We all wonder how guys like Crenshaw go bad. We struggle to understand it.
Respectfully 80% of the people on DC all have regret now. And why? Not because of anything they personally experienced while there. But because of something CNN reported.

The US gives other countries weapons then bombs them? I wonder if it has anything to do with Saddam trying to sidestep the central bank...
We also prop up dictators until they're no longer useful or politically viable to support. Then we kill them or run them out, and put another in. Rinse and repeat. And have the gall to accuse and condemn others of doing the same thing.
