Another precaution is Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Automatic Updates -> TURN BOTH AUTO-UPDATE FEATURES OFF

ALSO! Get a good regular TV aka Free Air Video antenna! Use your normal TV reception - NOT CABLE.
FCC regulates airwaves and will be the only authentic broadcasting option when we need it.
