What I don't understand about the whole "Pence Republican betrayal" narrative is if Pence earnestly betrayed Trump, why did he refuse Pelosi's calls to invoke the 25th amendment and why did he refuse her calls?

And on that note, while some Republican's flipped, why did the majority of Republican's vote against Trump's impeachment?
