I had to read this in Highschool in CT, along with Lord of the Flies, diary of Anne frank, (we also watched the boy in striped pajamas), to kill a mocking bird, and Of Mice and Men.

No. Not true. They will have heard it in rap music And black pop culture so often they will wonder what is the problem with the book.

Atlas Shrugged is also a great read in these times. Once the minimum wage is raised to $15 an hour, everyone will be able to afford a copy.
