My mom just found out about that book last night and showed me a picture she found online, and I was trying to tell her about this obscure theory about it, but I couldn't remember all of the details, just needed something to cheer her up, thanks in advance!

I think you are referring to the books by Ingersoll Lockwood. I have The Collection that includes "The Last President (or 1900)" Travels and Adventures of Little Baron Trump," and "Baron Trumps? Marvellous Underground Journey. I haven't read them yet but I'm looking forward to doing so.
