You would still need a person in the truck babysitting it for emergencies. Right now they only are even testing "exit to exit" trucks on the interstate down in I believe Arizona. It's really not as progressed as you would be led to believe. Plus in my field, my specialization is oversize loads, which is an entirely different monster.

Driverless trucks still need a driver in them in case something goes wrong with the computer. They still need someone to drive in the cities, auto trucks will only be used on highways which means my job just gets easier.
