I would love to do this. Where do you even get started in getting involved locally?
I live in a blue city that’s surrounded by red cities and counties in a very red state.
Are you able to get involved in neighborhoods within the city? I’m afraid my city is just to large for a Joe Schmo like me to really make a difference but there are even smaller “neighborhoods/ counties” within the city.
I would love to get involved with anything feasible honestly but I’m not even sure where to begin.
Talk to local business owners, a lot of them are hard core patriots. Peruse places like facebook and find the 'outsiders' on local boards, they're probably conservatives.
Go to your city hall webpage, all meetings have to listed (and minutes are put after words incase you missed one). Go to those meetings, you'll meet people that agree with you, band up with them, get a group of like minded to approach together and get your voices heard. It's a slow approach, but its how we have to do it. Like not wearing masks, if you're the first to take it off, you'll be amazed how many follow quickly. Just need that first, some times YOU have to be that first. Go to these meetings, when you can, speak up against things you don't agree with.
