If you take your phone out and use it of course you can be tracked, but it still serves a purpose. Also blocks RFID chips from cards. I just think that one day this will be a common product since mass surveillance and privacy is a big worry.

I actually tried this, but they actually do not 100% block out the Wi-Fi signal. It only blocks the Cellular signal. You can download app on the appstore and test the connections.

Jailbreak doesn't really address the issue of tracking. You never really know if you are being tracked unless the phone is dead/battery removed or blocked in a faraday type cage

I ordered one from a factory in China (yes China, since I can't find any producers here in the U.S.) but I wanted to start a business maybe by getting in the materials here and making them in the USA

That is why you get 2 phones, a smartphone and dumbphone. I get what you are saying, but it still may come in handy.
