A 401K always has a "safe harbor" option, by law. I suggest moving it there like I did on Monday.

You can always move it back later once this shit is sorted out, no penalty.

I too am planning a liquidation. The tax hit would be far less than both a market crash and hyperinflation

Can't you just convert to a cash account inside your 401K? There most be some low to no risk option to move your money to over the short term.
