True. Greed, corruption and a continual desire to accumulate more power are inherant to just about any government position. It's why freedom of the press was put in the very first amendment. It's probably the most important. And the press (media) is vital as a check against it, by being able shine light on it. However, our founding fathers probably never though that some day in the future, the press would become willing partners in crime. If we can somehow get back to an honest and impartial media, that would go a long way into cleaning up corruption in government.
