I know some people here already use Linux; this is for those who do not
The windows operating system is inherently insecure and 90% of the NSA's Trojan horse viruses target it. Microsoft collaborates with the NSA under the PRISM program. The alternative is Linux. Linux is open source, more secure, and verified software repositories negate the virus problem. Most programs are compatible too. Linux is also better than Windows in almost every single way.
There are many distributions of GNU/Linux.
Here are some of them with ease of use ratings
Ubuntu (easy)
Fedora (easy)
Debian (medium)
Manjaro (medium)
Arch (hard)
If you need help using a Linux-based OS, there are tutorials on CommieTube and elsewhere.
Remember to do basic things to protect your privacy because it is sometimes the basic things that count.
If you need to play games, I recommend having a separate Windows machine for that.
what browser do you use with it?
