we need laws, not EO’s for lasting changes, but trump needs a non rhino, non democrat congress/senate to pass laws. so EO’s have been the best he’s been able to do.
even if he stays for term 2 it’ll be the same issue in 2024 unless we fix the senate/house in 2022.
if the executive orders biden threatened to hit us with on day 1 are to be believed, undoing trumps are the least of my concern.
if biden is in, he said he’d remove all trump EO’s and immediately grant citizenship to all illegals (to the best of my memory anyway). but maybe we go back to politicians never keeping their campaign promises. it certainly beats the alternative.
but maybe we go back to politicians never keeping their campaign promises
Exactly. . .I hate playing down a Biden Presidency, but it is very unlikely that even half of the things he has promised will see the light of day. It is easy to make promises during a campaign, but hard to implement when your advisors start telling you that it is impossible or just downright illegal.
Also, I bet you anything that almost every EO Biden does try to pass will- or at least probably should -be injuncted by the courts of red states. They played that game with Trump's EOs, no reason we cannot do the same.
If you remember when Obama was first inaugurated. . .there was a lot of doom and gloom back then too. . . not as much as today, but still we got through those 8 years.
i clearly haven’t given up all hope, but i also don’t just talk like this on here, or just for now.
no matter who’s in office the next four years, i will refer to the winner of the election as the president.
if trump isn’t in office, i expect to be constantly and sarcastically remarking how strange it is that the president’s 2nd term is so very different than the first.
it’s weird to still be issuing executive orders which can be immediately undone by the next administration in 6 days.
it’s almost like like he expects these orders to last longer than 6 days... like another 4 years or something.
yeah I thought the same thing honestly
like theoretically, couldn't Biden easily just yoink back all these EOs with his own EOs?
no theorizing needed.
it could and easily would immediately be undone.

If we are to assume the most likely scenario, that Biden is inaugurated. . .
It's a dare. . .if Biden starts repealing/revoking common sense EOs people will start questioning Biden's agenda.
Actions speak louder than words.

It's cute you think leftists pay attention to politics.
It’s definitely meant to be a political trap for the Harris administration.
Either sun tzu style (appear weak etc), or any basic card game.
But none of this projects strength on its surface on a 1-week horizon.
perhaps.
