We deserve it. Notice that Jay Inslee really thought he had a shot at President (because he completely lacks self-awareness like most lefties). His state has been on fire for two years during which time he ran for POTUS on a campaign that boiled down to "we are all going to die from climate change in 10 years but I am your savior". After that, the fires I saw last year were the worst I've ever seen in my 50 years by far. I've never seen anything like it. I took a road trip last Sept and on my way home from Bend, I couldn't see anything but thick smoke for 220 miles headed north. Ran into it again over the Cascades. Thing is I could have seen exactly the same thing had I driven 3 to 400 miles south instead. Inslee did this, having been in charge for 2 terms now and just got a third term with 75% of the vote. It's like they all want this.
