If you are reading this, you are probably a bit confused as to how a bunch of MAGA supporters triggered thousands of military soldiers being deployed, walls being erected around government buildings in DC and our President getting his second Impeachment award!

You ask yourself, do MAGA Patriots typically act in terroristic and violent ways?

Well, I would tell you to listen to your intuition.

I was at the Jan 6 "riot" with my wife, daughter and son from 4:30 am to 5 pm.

If you were not there you would not know that the million or so MAGA supporters started arriving at the Ellipse around 4 am or earlier. This was because we learned through various channels or upon arrival that the rally would start at the Ellipse where we would hear from various speakers, incudlng the President, then would march to Capitol Hill to show our numbers to the corrupt politicians in hopes they would do the right thing.

We arrived at the Washington Monument about 4:40 am, where we were greeted with a line that was easily half a mile to a mile long.

By the time we got within 200 yards or so from the Ellipse, the line stopped moving and people started crowding on both sides on the line, between the Ellipse and Washington Monument, as the event area had filled to capacity. By the time the first speaker got on stage, people were packed in as far as the eye could see.

As far as I could tell, everyone was greatly enjoying the speakers, singing the patriotic songs, laughing and having a great time. Most people there appeared to be everyday people that likely had never really participated in something like this. I was one of those people.

As far as I could tell, just about everyone stayed until the very end when Trump said he would meet us at the Capitol and asked that we peacefully march that way.

This was about 1:30. By 2:00, we arrived to the sound of flash bangs and saw tear gas clouds. We were able to get about as close as you could to the front of the Capitol, so we got a great view of the "rioters" who were supposedly storming it.

These out of control crazies appeared to be breaching the Capitol similar to the way a museum might be breached. You know, after you get your ticket, you calmly walk up the steps by the security guards while taking photos to show your friends and family.

While I can't say what happened in the Capitol as I did not go in, I did see many people that came out. Most looked like they just got off a cool roller coaster for the first time, not like they just conquered an enemy.

Now I will say, there were many people who scaled the walls and climed up on a halfway built stage in front of the Capitol. But rather than feeling like a scared riot, it felt more like an 80's rock concert.

My point to this is while it does indeed appear that some violence did occur at the Capitol, but it occurred hours before the MAGA supporters had even finished listening to the President.

So, you have to ask yourself what is really going on here.
