I heard from multiple sources at Apple and this is big. It's not just 1 thing is several things:

  • iThink an AI wrong think filter available for free on all your devices by default.
  • iStasi app that auto reports your intentions to the proper authorities.
  • iGulag for security locks you out of all devices.
  • iCancel included on all new iPhones, tested in the field in Chinese military helmets. A small charge allowing Apple to permanently cancel you when you put your phone up to your ear after a panel of 3 Apple employees rules against you in a secret iCourt (2 must have blue hair, and 1 must not be American).

Stock is set to go through the roof.

Covid is over in February according to Chicago Mayor and California Governor Newsom and they claim science is why the schools need to open since kids did not die of this disease. Science they tell you.

If you 'think different'™, price will be 19.99$/month.

It'll be his 'defense' for his banning of Parler.

Big Tech is starting to get a little shook with their globalist overlords turning on them and denouncing them.

Tim Cook is a fucking faggot. It has nothing to do with him being gay. He's a faggot.

I hated Steve Jobs, but this is NOT what he wanted for Apple. Tim has DESTROYED Steve's vision for his company. Tim knows, and doesn't give a shit. Steve Jobs would have hated Trump, but he would never have tried to have him deplatformed and he would have defended his right to free speech.

PaineThomas 32 points ago +32 / -0

If memory serves, Steve and Don took a ride in Steve's Porsche 959 when it first came out, as it was the only one in the US at the time. They may not have liked each other politically, but they certainly wouldn't have been enemies.

Mooma [S] 27 points ago +27 / -0

Limbaugh is a big fan of apple products, I hope he denounces them and tell his audience avoid purchasing their products and services.

2

As much as i hate to say it, the typical conservative tends not to be very tech savvy.

Worst part about it, Rush is also his family's go to for IT issues....

MemeLawd 21 points ago +21 / -0

Apple hasnt innovated a damn thing since Steve left. Just made 75 dollar dongles.

12
Klown_Schwab 12 points ago +12 / -0

Isn't "dongle" considered misogynist hate speech now? I don't think you're allowed to use that word anymore

5

4
Jaybone86 4 points ago +4 / -0

Exactly. Steve was a fucking prick but you can’t deny his genius when it comes to innovation and tech.

2
Exverbare 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have it from several longtime former Apple employees that Steve’s talent was not in innovation, it was recognizing the innovations of others as mass marketable.

4
Jaybone86 4 points ago +4 / -0

Fair enough

2
ViduusMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

That you have to replace twice a year.

11
Alpha_plus 11 points ago +11 / -0

Not sure if Steve Jobs would have hated him tbh.

Job's political views and temperament are similar to his former buddy Larry Ellison who supported Trump.

11
sickofaltspin 11 points ago +12 / -1

Steve hated Adobe for PostScript but he hated them more for the privacy implications of Flash - look at the Government contracts Adobe was signing around the time he barred it from iOS.

11
IHeartMyDoggy 11 points ago +11 / -0

Steve Jobs also hated Google with a passion

6
imausertoo 6 points ago +6 / -0

True. Apple really hard tried to decouple themselves back then with Apple Maps and a rumored search engine. It's too much tho for even a company like Apple to compete with. Even after like a decade Apple Maps is inferior in every aspect.

3
ViduusMAGA 3 points ago +3 / -0

I finally deleted google maps and made the switch. I like it with CarPlay. The ETA only option is nice and convenient for me.

Google kept switching to Bike mode... because it thought I was some leftest who couldn’t afford a car.

2
imausertoo 2 points ago +2 / -0

I tried and got lost using Apple Maps. Have a friend who is insistent on using it for privacy reasons and he always gets the wrong address lol

1
ViduusMAGA 1 point ago +1 / -0

That was my experience early on. Since I’ve switched, I’ve only use it for places I’ve been to before but needed etas on. (4 hour drives etc)

Bigger announcement for Mr. Tim:

Never will I or my family buy Apple again.

Give my respects to the Congolese children that mine cobalt for you.

Thanks and good night.

99% of people with smartphones use Google or Apple.

They both suck, but at least with Android you can totally remove GApps with some technical knowhow.

With Apple you're fuuuuucked.

Devil's Advocate: The Android kernel and library set is fully open source. You can read the code yourself if you want to ensure it's not wiretapping you. There are a number of mobile phone OSes out there based off of the open Android code that are not controlled by Google, like this one.

If you don't want to use that, then you can use [Ubuntu Touch(https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/) on a number of devices, or, if you don't want to hit any of those, there are still a number of jailbreaking setups (for free or for a nominal price) that you can use on your stock Android, wherein the dev teams for those setups comb through and ensure there's no Google spying present.

Or, we can wait for Gab to come out with a phone.

1
Exverbare 1 point ago +1 / -0

How far do we think we are from a GAB phone?

1
bnolsen 1 point ago +1 / -0

Unfortunately there's too much in the phone that's closed. The cell part actually runs it's own OS, God knows what crap is running in there.

I turned off all updates 3 days ago. I am switching to Motorola.

4
Libertas_Vel_Mors 4 points ago +4 / -0

FYI, Motorola smartphones do run Android (I own one, though I jailbroke it, mostly for giggles.)

4
WakingKnowledge 4 points ago +4 / -0

I was on their website today and there is one you can buy from them unlocked.

3
Libertas_Vel_Mors 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep - I only buy unlocked; saves being tied to a stupid contract, and nobody can complain if I dork around with it at the system/OS level.

2
Libertas_Vel_Mors 2 points ago +2 / -0

Spez: "unlocked" does not mean jailbroken, BTW. Not sure if you know that.

1
rn10950 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you are interested in rooting/ROMs, you are going to want a phone with an unlocked bootloader. There are carrier-locked phones with open bootloaders, and carrier-unlocked phones with locked bootloaders.

1
WakingKnowledge 1 point ago +1 / -0

Forgive my ignorance but tell me the benefit of an unlocked bootloader. I assume it would allow one to change the programs that boot at startup? I am good with computers but not so much with phones.

2
rn10950 2 points ago +2 / -0

Smartphones are similar to computers in the way they boot. The bootloader is kind of like the BIOS and GRUB, a locked one will restrict which operating systems can boot. There are ways to root a phone with a locked bootloader, depending on the phone, which then enables you to modify your current ROM (remove GApps, enable/disable startup services, etc). An unlocked bootloader enables you to install an entirely different ROM, such as LineageOS, which has all Google and cell carrier bloatware removed by default.

1
WakingKnowledge 1 point ago +1 / -0

Very nice. Thanks for the info.

Reminds me to at last get this bad boy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6mKU7zQUQI

I think I'll get two for 10-20 bucks each and buy a spare battery. Stamina is really good, display clearly visible in bright sunlight, non-flashable OS, backdoor proof, no camera.

I think, and hope, it's the announcement of many people stepping down and publicly acknowledging their wrong doing with Parler. Not that it matters now because even if they opened the app store back up, Parler has no back-end services thanks to AWS.

4
Klown_Schwab 4 points ago +4 / -0

I seriously doubt that. SJWs always double down.

I'm sure he'll talk about major iPhone updates coming soon?

Want to partly disable iPhone updates? Turn off WiFi and it will keep the phone from updating. It can update without the help of WiFi

1

Apple doesn't need customers any more as any failure of the company can be blamed on external factors and taxpayers will just give them money via their political prostitutes.

1

Hopefully they're moving to China, Lock Stock and Barrel.

From my understanding they are going to be selling cars to compete with Tesla in 2024 and also they have a new high tech battery in development.

1

Serious question. Any smartphone platforms that are a viable alternative to google, apple?

2
Mooma [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

You can use an Android and avoid using Google's apps as much as possible. Don't use chrome browser, don't use Gmail app, don't use google messenger, find another app for navigation. Even if you stuck with some google apps, it's still better than using iphones where apple makes money on the hardware, and you're stuck using Apple's apps.

1
rajbaj2222 1 point ago +1 / -0

Weirdly only this week I’ve been getting notifications to clear space from my iPhone to allow auto updates to install the new ios. I never had auto-update on, never even knew it was an option that was implimented. So now I’m intentionally keeping my phone space next to capacity so it can’t install a system update without my knowledge. Paranoid? Maybe, but that’s dodgy to me.
