I really do not understand how so many law makers fail to recognize the difference between the Federal Government and a commercial enterprise.
The 1st amendment only guarantees you the right not to be silenced by the government. Which FaceBook, Twitter, etc. definitely are not. So they would fight that and likely win.
Besides once the optics of what happened on the 6th fade from memory it’ll go back to business as usual. People go about their lives. They, for the most part, forget. Eventually social media companies will loosen up because they are in it for the money and we are their product. When that happens everyone will be back to saying whatever they want.
