Why you choose dependency on the state instead of embracing freedom of action and willing to grant it to everyone

So, this is the original poster from a new account because I was banned before I could even respond but I promised responses so here's my new account until this one is deported, too.

Which sucks cause I wrote out my whole answer and then couldn't post it but here goes before I'm deported again.

If by dependency on the state you mean welfare, I can't speak to that. But if you mean just increasing oversight, yes and no. I think government is the people's representation. Do they get it right? Oh hell no. But do they get it right and do I have the opportunity to influence government more than corporations for which I am not a shareholder? Yeah.

And that's my thing. Government oversight is too much, but given too little, I think corporations here and abroad would go apeshit late-stage capitalist on everyone's ass and they don't. give. a. fuck. about us, the environment, our rights, et cetera versus their shareholders and their bottom-line.

It's not that I want more government in which we have too little say. I'm just still waiting for an viable alternative for less government that doesn't get us steamrolled by corporations for which we have absolutely no say. I've yet to hear it, but always still willing to listen.

Newsflash: In case you've missed recent events, liberal sites are not only allowed to exist, but also to flourish. That is where you should go.

This is not a site for people like you who think that "Donald Trump is an asshole."

Goodbye.

Yeah, you're right. I don't like the President but I shouldn't be coming into your house and talk shit. I apologize.

You better deport me again then because I'm gonna keep making new accounts to come back here and ask real questions.

How is critical race theory going to make racial relations any better? The truth is the right is actually the party of tolerance. You're backing legislation that will inevitably lead to an actual race war. If you could explain that one real quick I'll jump over to liberal 'genders'

I am definitely not going to win hearts and minds here -- again, not my intention. But I'll give the gender thing a shot in the context of CRT (Which, I don't honestly know I totally understand myself. Bucking stereotypes, we're not all sociology majors with blue hair. Some of us have green hair, thank you very much. ;) )

Basically, if someone wants to be labeled a different gender, fine. There are two biological sexes. We made up genders. We can make up more genders. It's not for me but, like a lot of other things, it doesn't take away for my quality of life. It doesn't bother me. And as long as that's the case, I think this country is about making it the most inclusive we can. If calling someone "they" versus "he" does that, doesn't seem like a big ask.

Now, if they act like an asshole about it because I got it wrong or didn't remember every time and assume it's because I don't care, that's on them. That's shitty. I think it's something a lot of people are adjusting to and some are uncomfortable with and those folks wanting to explore new genders better arrive with the patience and grace to ask politely and not shame or cancel people who are willing to try.

How much do you actually trust the media?

Do you honestly believe the election results are 100 percent accurate?

Whats your take on left wing violence, to what extent are you aware of it?

Why do you think people support trump, whats the reasoning behind it, in your opinion?

How many of your friends are vegetarian, into soy, or have imaginary food allergies?

Is your hair blue? How many piercings do you have in your face?

It's not that I don't "trust" the media so much as I recognize we don't have American media without bias. So I consume media from the left and right and make up my own mind.

No elections are 100% accurate but people and computers aren't. But you're probably mean do I believe this was a valid election and, yes, I do. I came to that conclusion because I read the court decisions in the lawsuits filed after the election.

I don't consider it left wing violence but I know what you mean: the violence that occurred during the BLM protests over the summer. It pisses me off, not only because it's violence in general, but because it's a place that I know we have common ground. In the BLM protests, 98% of the people who showed up protested peacefully, and 2% showed up to burn shit and loot and ruin the fucking message. And look at the Capitol building protest. I bet 98% of people showed up because they're really concerned about the electoral process and the country and then a minority of people beat up cops and broke shit and now you're all terrorists, right? There are always more of us willing to talk, but the selfish idiots take the attention. The left and the right suffer this problem.

Most of them.

No and none, but I did genuinely get a laugh out of these last couple questions, so thanks :)

Take care

I hold that some of the people on this site are racists and homophobes and xeonphobes and I really don't like that. I think some of you are radicalized and willing to murder fellow Americans in the process of getting what you want and if so, fuck you. But I think ALL of you give a shit about this country and just want a safe place and a fair shot for you and your families and I understand and respect that, and I think everyone can have that as long as we're willing to keep that in our hearts and know it's what we all want and deserve, we can all of us get there.

My causes and concerns are Democratic. It's the party I support. Do I love everything they're selling unconditionally? Absolutely not. I get involved because I think it's the closest party of my values and the closest path to providing equity and equality for everyone in this country. I know how that must sound to people on this site, I get it. But I genuinely never provide support thinking "This is what is good for Dems and good f'ing luck everyone else."

And thank you for those closing comments. I think there are forces are work that want us at each others throats. Please trust there's folks out here like me and we're never gonna agree on everything but there's not a version where I want to hurt anyone who voted differently than I did. I mean, c'mon. We're better than that.
