Who is the proverbial "they" you refer to in this context? Why adhere to a "narrative" when you can refer to science like xx/xy chromosomes? I agree one can "feel" they are a different gender but feelings don't trump biology. That being said I don't think anyone should be bullied or harassed or anything like that who chooses to adhere to the gender fluid narrative but at the same time adopting authoritarianism to push your ideology is also a bad look (see the Jordan Peterson story and what he dealt with a few years back regarding the topic)
