Sherman Act.

Don't forget about that.

Everyone in Silicon Valley would be in prison if that was enforced.

Wal-Mart and Amazon would be in trouble too.

Every pede in here should know the Trump team played this out to the end. There's also the Miller Act for Gov contractors.

But that is just liability tied to a bond, so they only lose the bond? Have any of these internet giants even posted bonds?

Look up Americans for Innovation. There you'll find how the IBM Eclipse Foundation stole source code that was given to FB and eventually most social networking companies without paying the owner. The actual owner was Leader Technology who contacted the Trump team years ago.

Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn't know any of that, thank you!

Yep, except the Justice Dept runs whatever is done under the Sherman Act. Dead on arrival.

That's in response to the bad weather, not the commie traitors.

NordicIsrael [S] 19 points ago +19 / -0

Trump said he would use in response to the CCP virus, which was a biological weapon used by Democrats to attack our nation and part of the election theft.

diversityisgay 11 points ago +12 / -1

By the democrats? LOL have you still not realized both parties are the same?

NordicIsrael [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Technically true, but I was referring to the allegiance of the leaders, not their bribed and coerced henchmen.

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, it could be used for a health emergency, I skimmed it, nothing I saw that covered traitors, insurrection, it is natural disaster focused.

30k TROOPS in DC? These are FEMA under the January 11th EO.

So, why would one favor SA over IA?

17
NordicIsrael [S] 17 points ago +17 / -0

Stafford gives FEMA more power than the President and Congress put together. Remember how Trump fired Wolf, the FEMA head at the same time he fired Miller at the DOD?

8
NordicIsrael [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

I mean Esper, not Miller.

5
Waredodooday1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ok ELI5. 😆

5
Internectual 5 points ago +5 / -0

And EO of 11th declared emergency,SA is the plan!

3
OrangeElvis 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's a BINGO!

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

True, but the Insurrection Act gives the military comparable powers, so if you want to use the military to redo the elections surely the IA is preferable?

4
Internectual 4 points ago +4 / -0

No because FEMA has already powers in the juridical branch too. FEMA has the power to prosecute individuals in It’s own military tribunal circumventing other US courts. This is getting real

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

I didn't see that in my quick read, now it makes every sense and doesn't have the stigma that is attached to the IA which the Uniparty would immediately jump on. Thank you.

2
Internectual 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think DJT would have preferred the use of military in an earlier stage too since FEMA does have incredible power. But he has his guy now as head of this gov body + the ability to prosecute. This might have been the reason Trump preferred going down the juridical path towards SCOTUS too. Power of FEMA is scary.but since they have not succeeded he has chosen this path. Therefore also signed the declaration of the 11th of January. Declaring an emergency gives FEMA full authority.

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you for that info, I agree the military would have been preferable, Flynn is a known entity and totally loyal, his involvement in any military action would have given a high comfort level. I was not aware FEMA had control of military so that puts them in a new light for me.

2
Internectual 2 points ago +2 / -0

It has domestic defense origin I read. It’s power comes basically from a collection of separate EO’s signed by different presidents in succession.

1
NordicIsrael [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also FEMA uses a different chain of command and funding than the military under the IA

1
Bonami 1 point ago +1 / -0

Even better, where does the President fit in the chain of command?

2
NordicIsrael [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

The sitting president doesn't: if FEMA takes over, Peter Gaynor runs the show.

I believed Trump must have removed the power from the Executive Branch before letting Biden in. I've heard a couple people suggesting this may be the way.

Someone posted a link from Reuters about a Trump press conference on Thomas Wictor's thread on Mastodon. That clicked for me when I remembered about other things I heard.

WHAT? That suggests that Trump's declass and EOs could be issued by FEMA after he leaves office?

1

Is this REAL ? Or a SHITPOST

2
NordicIsrael [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's mining previously statements Trulmp made, in this case from a March 2020 press briefing. This is not new information--just a closer look at what seems to be falling into place.
