Everyone in my family wants to get it but me and my aging grandparents. I warned everyone not to take it as it is an untested mRNA vaccine that alters genes. One of my friends listened and changed her mind, but my family thinks I'm an idiot.
The problem with the mRNA "vaccines" is that they are an entirely experimental form of novel targeted gene therapy and are not vaccines per se. Even if you believe that the companies that developed them have nothing but the best of intentions, there are still innumerable risks which far outweigh the potential danger of the virus itself.
The CDC says that 11.1m people have gotten the first dose of the Covid vaccine (from 30.6 doses distributed). Fauci has said that 70% and then 80-90% of Americans need it before society can fully reopen. The total U.S. population is 328,239,523, and here are the percentages: 50%: 164m. 60%: 197m. 70%: 230m. 80%: 263m. 90%: 295m.
Both of my parents had to get it for their jobs... dad got Pfizer and mom got moderna. They are getting their second shot soon....I really hope nothing bad happens to them. :/
Yeah . Dad manned and led the one of the key units in 5 icus including newborn and pediatrician at once when covid first hit . He pulled off experimental procedures that saved at least 2 peoples lives,( yet when I call him a hero hes like nah I'm just a dude doing my job) often slept in the hospital parking lot in his car as he would often only have 3 hrs of sleep between shifts.
and mom has rooted out several shitty opportunistic malpracticeprone docs and almost got fired for it at one point. I have parents , folks ;)

Honestly, I'm old I don't care if I take the vaccine or not. Probably not. Pretty sure I already had the virus. It was rough.
But I don't want my daughter or sons to take it. Smart people seem to think it might cause temporary or permanent sterility.
And they have such small risk it doesn't make sense. The risk of side effects from the vaccine are infinitely larger that any risk from the virus.
