This is nothing new. Look into the Duluth Model where men are always the "oppressors" and women are always the "victims", no matter what the situation is. It was happily merged into the legal system in almost every state with almost no backlash. It's been used to screw over more men than anyone wants to admit.

People don't like to notice when it doesn't directly affect them but the rot is always creeping along.
