every 10 minutes a pop up update messages appears on my screen - I keep selecting “remind me later,” but the messages keep coming. I am going to have to put my phone down for fear I may accidentally hit “update.”

yup, it's off, that's why they have to ask me, but in the old days, when I would decline the update, they would remind me maybe once a day. Tonight the reminders are ceaseless!!
My Android is trying to get me to turn on ... "find ur phone when you're power is off" feature every 20min or so. And keeps saying oops no internet connection! When there is clearly internet.
It's truly creepy, a sure sign of desperation!! I think I read that GAB has made their own phone. I have no idea if they're a good company (although they seem good), and realize even if they are good they can turn bad, but I think I'm going to get myself one of those phones ASAP.
So what's funny about this. I have Android 10. I got a security update today and I kept deferring it. Eventually it rebooted my phone and installed.
