Because instead of cleaning up the institutions, the "burn it all down version" aka the foolishness of throwing the baby out with the bathwater. Same thing these days with all the comments to "end" things, like with the FIB, PBS, NFL, Hollywood (eg Disney) or all the other institutions taken over by the Marxists & Criminals; rather than do the "real" hard work to clean them up.
And when things like LBJ(Dems medicaid/social programs and gov intrusions just like with Obamacare, corrupted even more the moneys and legal powers; meant with SCOTUS also NOT doing it's job; meant at some point the more humane thing is to at least shut down the rape/torture/killing factories.
As someone joked in a comment up top of this Post, "Roger Stone doesn't have standing." to sue the attacker, or see his wife in hospital. This is a joke, but it's truth; that the SCOTUS and Obamacare and corrupt/criminal/marxist "public health officials" who's job it is, have put restrictions and allow these injustices to occur.
My own mom was kidnapped/abducted/tortured/starved/thirsted and ended up looking like a Holocaust suvivior after 17 days this past June by 2 squads of local Gestapo, without papers/warrant/judge/etc. held political prisoner, and of course these days (even pre-Covid and accelorated with Obamacare) it's a whole "medicare" (and/or Medicaid) gov/private industry of kidnapping/warehousing/torturing/killing seniors. Covid deaths/murder rates in institutional care, shined a light on a place which needs much more light.
