Wasnt Parler only supposed to be down for a couple days? Also why dont they rent a 5 dollar a month digital ocean server, point DNS to it and just put up a temporary page that says Amazon sucks, be back soon?

Them being completely offline demonstrates greater and greater harm caused by 'F.A.G.A.T.' for deplatforming them thru racketeering and torturous extortion.
I suspect, after they kick the shit out of some lefty monopolies, they'll semi-join the coming GAB Tv network.

No idea but you really cant beat the price point for what you get.
There are tons of mom-and-pop style outfits that actually can beat 'em, but I think the service and maturity of DO (plus their excellent documentation and references) are really nice. I think there's a huge market grab opportunity for companies will the smarts to stay out of wokesville (rare in tech though). If I had the expertise I'd drop capital on such a company, and watch as free speechers flocked to my safe harbor for hosting services.
Im thinking after spacex dominates the internet market they might expand to cloud service. Would love for Elon to crush that market.

I signed up for both recently, I think I like Parler a little better. Gab layout reminds me too much of cuckbook.
