Not sure if it will be a popular opinion, but if at any time in the past and the foreseeable future, now is the time for a single man with the strength, conviction and love for his country and people and in turn the love of those same people for him to end this current Republic. Cut out the festering tumours that have slowly been killing it and then reinstate a new Republic. This time with more checks and balances, transperancy to keep those who should be safeguarding the nation not picking at the remains.

Drain it, rebuild it.

Bring us home Donald!

At this point to me the question is

"Are you willing to be ruled by global elites in secret who've proven themselves disgustedly evil, or are you willing to give all the power to one man and risk it all?"

And frankly, that's hardly a tough question. I'd prefer it if we never had to do either obviously, but if it's only a two question quiz...

Lord help us all.

Long video but it's worth a watch. Some medievalist professor giving a lecture on the benefits of monarchy over democracy. (And yeah yeah America is a republic but it's democratic enough that the same arguments apply.)

Even if you're of the opinion that monarchy is somehow tyranny, it's very easy to counter that democracy is oligarchy. And that without media control, without access to large amounts of money, candidacy to office or the promotion of a certain issue doesn't mean anything. Without money and media access you are nothing in a democratic society, in republican societies. So I want to repeat: you have one of two choices in politics. Monarchy or oligarchy. Democracy doesn't exist in practice.

What republic are the French on, like their fifth? I'd say we did alright with our first. But "when in the course of human events", and such.
