Dems now have senate majority, there is talk of running the trial after Trump leaves office. It is unprecedented, but so is impeaching a president with a week left. If enough RINOs manage to flip they may even succeed.

Specifically, there is no law prohibiting an ex-president from being impeached. Obama should have been impeached for spying on Trump, but we all know the RINO cucked senate wont ever do that.

But a dem controlled senate ? Everything is possible. They are a vicious lot

Specifically, there is no law prohibiting an ex-president from being impeached.

That's not how law works at all. The Constitution is extremely clear, impeachment is a process to convict and remove a sitting president, there is no process to impeach and convict a regular citizen.

The law is a process, the lack of a process for something does not mean it is permitted, it means the exact opposite. For example if you do not follow the legal process to obtain evidence, that evidence can not be legally used.

"For example if you do not follow the legal process to obtain evidence, that evidence can not be legally used."

Then, using the knowledge from the evidence they illegally obtained, they engage in parallel construction, to conceal how an investigation began or to show they could have gotten the evidence through another means.

The Left has repeatedly shown they do not care about the law. The courts have repeatedly shown they do not care. Both have repeatedly been shown there are no consequences for not caring. On paper, I agree with you. In reality, who knows?

Pukeahontas 8 points ago +8 / -0

Yeah the left dont care about the law, and anyone who thinks they do are either not fully aware of the threat this bunch of lefties carry or are grossly misjudging their viciousness.

The House impeachment itself is a sham. It was done in 2 days, and without showing any evidence and they didnt even allow Trump to defend himself. Jim Jordan tried to speak up and said that Trump should be given an opportunity to respond and he was shut down.

But leave that aside. Just look at the first impeachment. They actually impeached Trump for an actual CRIME committed by Biden, and even Biden admitted and laughed about it, on video, that he asked the Ukraine prosecutor to get fired. Yet Trump was the fall guy.

This is sadly true which puts us in a difficult situation. If we have to break the law so they uphold the law that's the one time they'll uphold the law.

You know what though? I don't care. They can torture me, hang me or crucify me I no longer fear them.

They dont believe in God so where do they get their moral code? They make it up as they go. Moral relativism. The real revelation is that for America to work we have to understand and embrace objectivity. Literally the only thing that binds anyone together to coexist is the embracement of the object truth. Democrats know this and thus they reject all objectivity unless they are targeting a true american. Then they try to use it against said american. But they do not hold themselves to the standard because THEY DO NOT BELIEVE IN OBJECTIVE RULE. Which is the only fair structure in the galaxy.

Good point, unfortunately the current Congress doesn't even seem to care to pretend they follow the Constitution

https://stephenlendman.org/2021/01/can-a-former-us-president-be-impeached-and-convicted/

The Constitution is unclear on this issue. Nothing in the Constitution permits impeachment of a former president. Yet nothing rules it out.

The dems have time and again show abslutely no remorse for breaking the law. Even in this impeachment, there is no precedence where articles of impeachment against a sitting President have been drawn up and passed by House in 2 days, without any care about due process and without even putting the evidence on record, nor allowing President Trump to even respond to these crazy charges.

This utter lawlessness is not going to stop.

https://constitutioncenter.org/blog/can-president-trump-be-impeached-after-he-leaves-office

In December 2019, the Washington Post interviewed six scholars about that very question. Three believed it was a possible but unsettled question that a former president could face a Senate trial; two others said the Senate lacked such powers; and one scholar believed the Senate could try a former president.

There is precedent too:

Scholar Frank O. Bowman also pointed out another precedent: the 1876 impeachment trial of William Belknap, who served as Secretary of War for President Ulysses S. Grant. Belknap faced allegations of receiving kickbacks, and he resigned moments before the House approved articles of impeachment. The House charged Belknap with “basely prostituting his high office to his lust for private gain.” At Belknap’s trial, the Senate passed a motion in a 37 to 29 vote that “William W. Belknap, the respondent, is amenable to trial by impeachment for acts done as Secretary of War, notwithstanding his resignation of said office before he was impeached.” The Senate later acquitted Belknap on all charges, lacking a two-thirds majority to convict.

“basely prostituting his high office to his lust for private gain.”... that’s seems like precedent for impeaching most of both sides of the house... and going back a bit for the Clintons Obamas and Cheney amongst others.

Too bad they'll have to wait another 4 years.

muslimporn 5 points ago +5 / -0

If they decide who you can and can't vote for then that's an open declaration of civil war, a dictatorship and autocracy.

1
Deeprasmith 1 point ago +1 / -0

Read the constitution. Only president not ex-president can be impeached. But doesn't matter. It wont come to that. Quite a few of the congress will be going to jail and unable to vote to impeach. So whether majority or not in either houses are moot. It is prophecised.

Who is arresting them? Wray? Barr gonna prosecute?

1
Proda 1 point ago +1 / -0

Impeaching after he leaves office will have no value.

2
Pukeahontas 2 points ago +2 / -0

It will have value - personal grievance + removal of secret service protection + after impeachment they can vote to bar him from running for office again

6
Proda 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's unconstitutional and would set a terrible precedent that even the most braindead liberal could admit would make the country look no more free than Uganda.

If you can impeach a private citizen that used to be POTUS, you can impeach ANY private citizen, and that's an incredibly scary thought, arbitrarily removing dissidents from either party's pool of viable candidates for an election.

This should be a clear cut abuse of power case if they ever proceeded to do it.

1
White-tailed_Eagle 1 point ago +1 / -0

If that precedent is set then there are a few former presidents that need to be impeached as well.

2
Hades440 2 points ago +2 / -0

They've already set the precedent that impeachment and the commission of crimes are not linked in any way, as well as the precedent that Democrats are never held accountable for their misdeeds. This new "impeach whoever the hell we want" precedent wouldn't supersede those.

Doesn't matter anyway. Trump is running a sting operation.

I think I might vomit.

1
Hades440 1 point ago +2 / -1

It's such a stealthy and subtle operation, Biden and Harris will be 10 or 15 years into a peaceful retirement after serving two full terms each as president before they even realize Trump's had them in a trap this whole time!

For fucks sake, the time to stop this has come and gone about 10 times already, if the trap hasn't been sprung by now, there is no trap. If the plan hasn't been enacted by now, there is no plan. If they haven't stopped this by now, there is no stopping this. Get a grip on reality and start focusing on real viable action rather than placating yourself with dreams of fantastical "sting operations".

Gallemore 0 points ago +1 / -1

Shut the fuck up.

1
Hades440 1 point ago +2 / -1

Or what? Is there another magical fantasy sting operation that's gonna get me? Is... is the sting operation in the room with us right now?

Yes but this site is so lost that if you speculate about anything positive you are a Qtard. So this site is literally only suppose to be negativity now

FuckRioters 4 points ago +5 / -1

Absolutely not. However, I want TRUTH and RECEIPTS. So much of the hopium was people larping and just making shit up on the fly. Then stuff doesn't happen voer and over and over and over and over and over.

How does one distinguish between what's real, and what's fabricated nonsense, if we're not "allowed" to call out when something has NO PROOF? I thought we cared about truth? If we don't care about truth, then nothing we say or believe matters.

Well, if you believe literally anything on the planet that fits your narrative it wouldn't matter if the election was stolen or not, just whether it fits your narrative. You'll happily tell others the evidence which is flimsy and easily disproven, and they'll look into it, and realize the evidence is weak, and ignore you. It also makes you susceptible to misinformation fed to us by our enemies. Make no mistake patriotic q-supporters participated in the attack on the capital thinking they were helping Trump, but in effect caused MASSIVE harm. Sure, Antifa was there too, but the lack of critical thinking some actual Trump supporters to be involved in an action that harmed our movement.

Conversely, there absolutely is VERY strong evidence the election was stolen, and you could be sharing THAT evidence instead, and maybe convince a few people, or make those who disagree look like absolute morons.

We may have very well lost any election contests, because ALL of the attention shifted to the stuff that was more flimsy and fantastical. Meanwhile the irrefutable stuff was ignored. Some of the Woods/Powell stuff was true, others was false, but enough of it was unprovable it made it VERY easy to point out the flaws and throw out the entire case. Meanwhile, Trump's cases got no attention and weren't really heard by courts.

Last thing I want to do is kill positivity. Remember there are at least 75 million of us (probably a LOT more), and even people like me who think the Q-larps are full of shit think the election was stolen by several million votes. Everyone knows this government is illegitimate. Everyone knows the polls were fake. Everyone knows the establishment is freaking out and behaving irrational because they feel threatened.

I'm not selling hopium, nor am I selling doom. I'm selling realism. I'm selling rationality, creativity, innovation ... WE need to be the warriors fighting for populism. Trump is just one guy, one guy who was backstabbed a LOT, and had little support. It's impressive he got as far as he did, and accomplished as much as he did. He didn't drain the swamp, so much as he revealed the swamp.

What can we do about it? Use your unique skills. I'm starting an alt-tech platform myself. Other people need to run for office. Other people need to write articles or start podcasts. Other people need to catalogue swamp-creature behavior, so it can be un-memory-holed the time the next election rolls around. Other people need to hassle local governments into improving election integrity, or become in-charge of that ourselves. Others need to create memes, signs, and flags.

SaltyPaladin -8 points ago +3 / -11

People need to face reality, others are actually very concerned about the mental health and stability of the Q folk.. We are actually afraid when "trust the plan" actually reveals itself to be nothing, Q folk will start popping off and hurting the MAGA movement..

I heard Derzorwich say that you can't impeach a private citizen, it's Unconstitutional and Turtle already said it won't happen before the 20th.

I think it's all kabuki theater and 10 idiotic Republicans fell for it.

They've been stabbing Trump in the back for 5 years. This week they stabbed us.

3
Hades440 3 points ago +3 / -0

Maybe they used it as an opportunity for Republicans to declare teams. Lots of new faces in Congress, they wanted to know who was feeling a little more like a RINO than a Lion.

Like allowing a conquered people to swear fealty to you rather than executing them all.

So all the RINOs who voted for the impeachment in the house did it for nothing. 😂 😆

I wonder if that has anything to do with the leaks and the fact that trump cut 27.5 billion and oh ya California can’t burn the forest down for FEMA money because Trump just took control of fire management on federal land.... SAVAGE!

Let's Kill their hope's of getting rich. Your vote counts, but it's not the one everyone is talking about. Remove tech CEOs, sell their stock buy it back at the bottom. Move now, move together, today and leave them with worthless stock. Spread the word, materialism is all they know. So teach them a little High Finance. Make them scream! Force board members to vote them out. We can do this just with headlines. Markets are traded AI. A big headline with trigger an auto sell. Pass this now,
