I admire the sentiment, but it's not true. Taxes are neither sufficient nor necessary to fund the federal government. They don't need our taxes because they can print whatever they need. The point of taxes is to control a and surveil us, and make sure most are unable to get financially independent.
They absolutely need taxes. No country World Bank or IMF is going to give a loan without a tax base. If you keep printing money you devalue the currency and it becomes shit then no one gives you loans. Not paying taxes would fuck up the federal gov't that is why they have the IRS.
You had better believe that if you don't pay your taxes, they will print the money to buy the bullets that police will use to shoot you. People don't pay taxes because they want to. People pay taxes because they don't want to be locked in a cage or murdered for refusing tribute.
IMF may refuse a loan in the face of mass tax protest, IRS goes out and puts a few high profile evaders behind bars or fills them with lead, and the rest will do what they need to do and, boom, tax revenue flows again.
Comply or die is the true nature of government, from which all motivation of the ruled comes from.
I haven't been on anybody's payroll for 11 years, but I can't imagine that going to your HR department and changing your withholding choices to "pay no taxes" would go over very well.
And I'm a big believer in "Starve the Beast", but you're correct about the impracticality.
That said, the same people who print our money also control the IMF. Sound money went out the door long ago and I haven't seen a bond vigilante in more than a decade.
I’m not telling you what to do. I think a man outta do what he thinks is best, I’m just wondering what your plan is when they show up & threaten to toss you in jail if you don’t pay taxes.
Can't hide my assets. They'd take my house away from me which is my largest investment. I could resist. Eventually armed officers would show up and literally throw me on the street or throw me into jail.
there are Myriad ways to pay no, or next to no federal income tax. I am going to use as many methods used by Corporate America as possible. This protects you from changes to the rules, as it would fuck the donor class that both parties suck off of.
A tax strike is much like the fake Insurrection they told us happened the other day.
If two people do it you're going to jail. If 20 million do it, they can't do shit about it.
Ever heard the phrase "It's not worth a continental?" Referring to the continental dollar when they printed as much money as they wanted to fund the revolutionary war and hyper inflation devalued the currency so much it became worthless.

Glad the founders didn't pay them....
Fortunately i print bullets
They can print on a temporary basis, and have been. I believe this is why Trump allowed The Runaway budget.
Give them your tax dollars if you want. I'm not giving them a nickel it doesn't cost them a dime to collect.🤷♂️🙂

Or auction your house off
This. I could hide my money in crypto currency.

(Taps Head) Can't auction my house if it's burnt down.

Foreign governments played a role in this.
Money isn't a new thing. Rome had a primitive grasp of securitizing mortgages.
There was one country that recently printed its way out of crushing poverty....you already know.
Yes, although not for a while. I imagine if we ever get rid of the Federal Reserve there will be a new currency issue regardless
Germany tried that in the 1920s. Didn't work out.
Germany didn't have The Great Reset as a fallback plan.
