Realistically, and not to be seen as inciting, how do we get back in power when they can flip a switch and cancel our vote whenever they please?

Trump called for peace without calling for any sort of action from us besides more peaceful protests. So Trump has five days to do something before all peaceful options have been removed.

stratocaster_patriot 8 points ago +15 / -7

Well true but let's be fair. It is not his job to save our country, it is the job of the people and we ain't gonna do shit. We're all wide awake and doing nothing. And believe me I blame myself as much as anyone.

peltast 5 points ago +5 / -0

To be honest, it IS his job.

You start locally, just like pretty much everyone in politics. Find out who is on your city council and get involved in the decision making process. Trump is one of the very rare examples that shot straight to the president, so don't even try to follow his route unless you become a billionaire first.

You don’t know this for certain. Sure, it doesn’t look good. Nevertheless, a million things can happen. It’s 2021. There’s no way the recent Italian government collapsing is unrelated to the fraudulent election. There may be more going on. Ultimately, none of us know for certain. Certainty is God’s alone. It’s better to maintain hope, and provide positive support to one another. That would actually make a Biden inauguration easier to handle.

It’s the “realists” trying to be smart boys (gammas) who correct everyone that things are hopeless, who will have the most problems, because they are emotionally less secure. The mere threat of being wrong stops gammas cold, also. If I’m wrong, and it’s over, oh well. I’m nota prophet, nor am I genius. I prefer being a team player to either. A lot of guys on here are super young, which contributes to gamma behavior. It certainly did with me, when I was 20.

Trump didn't come this far to just hand the keys over to a criminal. Step back for a minute. I am just a no body with no inside information, but I trust that Trump has this. You don't need 20 to 30 thousand troops in DC to protect a virtual inauguration. Those troops are there to not only arrest all those that committed treason but to also stop the left from burning it down when Trump plays his hand. Hang in there and hold the line, (meaning, don't do anything to screw this up) Trump has this.

I agree. They aren’t there to protect a virtual inauguration.

I believe they are there for optics. It’s a farce.

Gaslighting. Showing “see! Look how dangerous Trump supporters are and all the protection needed” after the last week of dehumanizing and gaslighting conservatives and Trump supporters.

Wasn't it the DC mayor that requested those troops? That would imply they would be working against Trump.

Not dissing on Trump, but I’m not entirely convinced Trump “called for peace” for any reason other than to cover his backside.

There’s what he said at the DC rally, and then there’s the “we will not be silenced” tweet which got him censored.

I don’t jump because Trump tells me to, and I don’t stay seated because he tells me not to jump.

I’m looking at things objectively and thinking that I can either be a one man revolution or join the dark side.

I mean, we’ve seen what happens to people who prefer to die on their feet than live on their knees...is that where we are headed or is that where we’re at?

No way anyone who supports TRUMP could think he was signaling anything other then for people to protest peacefully!!! TRUMP better then anyone of us knows what the FBI is capable of doing. No way TRUMP would encourage people to break laws, when he knows how easily doing so would be used to destroy their lives.

6
Darth_Venath 6 points ago +6 / -0

And you’re correct.

Nobody who supports Trump thought he was calling for anything other than lawful peaceful protesting.

But he left enough ambiguity in his statements for the left to criticize him on and to claim the exact opposite.

People on the left don’t speak the same language the people on the right do.

You make one statement, and both groups of people are going to get two different interpretations.

And remember, this is the same group of people who said all last year that it wasn’t good enough to “not be racist”. You have to “fight against racism” in order to not be a racist in their eyes. 🙄

This is also the same group of people that believes their violence and rioting is justified because of whatever reasons.....

Apocrs 7 points ago +7 / -0

He literally said "peacefully and patriotically" in that speech.

5
Darth_Venath 5 points ago +5 / -0

That’s what I heard. The left hears what they wanna believe.

6
stratocaster_patriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

I understand you are not dissing but I prefer Trump covering his ass than someone like Maxine Waters who openly calls for violence and has not need to cover her ass.

Living on our knees is where we are at. I don't know what to do. Sometimes what I want to do means I would probably be a one man revolution and end up shot by police in less than 10 minutes. What good would that do? But I am not joining the dark side and by that I assume you mean the left. Never join that or you have failed at life when it's all said and done.

I think we’re on the same wave length.

Not just the vote they can flip the whole switch from the vote to the nuclear bomb that is what we are dealing with here and it is truly not hollywood terrifying but the implications of the fraud that is going on and being perpetrated is the true meaning of terror ..

stratocaster_patriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Violence and the threat of it are truly the only legitimate motivators and have been throughout our entire human history. You will notice that sometimes politicians do act the way people want them to after they have camped out on their lawns and made death threats. It's the only thing they understand and the only effective solution. I don't want violence or war either but I can honestly say that I have never seen anything else motivate the ruling class to be moral and do the right thing. They are tyrants at this point, corrupt in every way and lacking in any moral character (and that includes the GOP). Taking up arms against that is not at all wrong.

You don't...

With the courts, politicians, and the vote, compromised, we will never again be free, I am not advocating for violence. But logically there is nothing else that would work. Hopefully President Trump has a plan.
