I just saw people joking about "the boog" and Electric Boogaloo on forum...then all of a sudden there was an official org who called themselves the Boogaloo Boys. It was weird. I kind of get the same vibe from the Proud Boys.
The Boogaloo Boys patch featured a pepe with an MP5. Obviously created by some federal government people, because civilian ownership of MP5s is rare whereas police and feds use them a lot

Proud Boys is local and real here. They only make the news when attacked or killed, and that is always used as an opportunity to demonize them.
