There is no 'cleaning up the background noise'. There is no signal. Unless we get a better audio recording this is useless.

I mean you can listen carefully enough to hear that the subtitles appear to be accurate. This can absolutely be cleaned. Edit cleaned here:https://streamable.com/b79e3q

I can hear that they're getting $100/hr to do something shady.

They got thousands it seems. This is probably why they counted for weeks. Honestly, if someone was asking me to do this and only offered me 100/hr I’d be highly offended in more ways than one.

I can't hear a thing. I would love to be wrong. If you can hear the words that is great and there is hope.

Use headphones and hold your breath while listening to key parts. It is easy to tell that enough of the words are accurate to the point it would be a lot hard to fake, at least certain sentences.

What do you mean? I can hear them fine. How is it useless?

Honestly, I can't hear anything like the words that are appearing.

I'm older so my hearing is not great. Do you hear the words that are subtitled?

In the “cleaned” version I can definitely hear at least 80% of the subtitles. In the regular one I heard about 30%.

I hear a good 75-80%, definitely parts that are troubling for them. I do agree they need to isolated the sounds so others can hear it a lot better. Again I was using audiophile grade headphones.
