Imagine if the news just reported on his actions.

I imagine you'd have most Americans liking what he's doing, because most of the shit he does makes sense and is good politically speaking. Maybe not perfect, but incomparable to earlier modern presidents.

You'd have a tiny minority of pearl clutchers hating him for his attitude (grab them by the... etc.).

You'd have a number of people who still don't like him due to honest policy disagreements.

You'd have tribals who never like him no matter what due to what color his title is in (this goes for presidents of either party).

I imagine his approval rating would be something like 60% at least.

This is such a non-issue too. The only issue I have with the situation that led to Bill's impeachment was that Lewinsky was a staffer. If it was just another consenting adult, unrelated to the administration, I wouldn't give a shit. I'd need relief if I was married to a harpy like Hill too. And JFK almost guaranteed bent some chicks over the Resolute desk. In the context of previous Presidents, what Trump said many moons ago was tame. But we live in a world today where words hold more weight than actions.

It wasn’t even that Monica was a staffer. It was that Bill lied when questioned about it during the independent counsel investigation and, iirc, lied about it during his deposition in the Paula Jones case.

It's a non-issue, but it's a very real non-issue. I know people like that. "His rhetoric is bad"=>all they need.

I've always found it ironic that people get offended at what a candidate says, but then vote for people who start forever wars for no reason.

I'd say 75%.
