Time is on the side of reality.

Our system is activist-industrial complex routinely hatches narrative aimed at emotional appeal to try to shape behavior of the population. Each narrative fractures viewpoint of some 1% - 2% of the population whose perspective gives them an accurate view of what occurred, and how reporting deviates wildly from what they observed. The mirage disappears. A new narrative is hatched, 1% - 2% of the population again see the flaws. The mirage disappears.

This system flows only toward a growing pool who see reality for what it is and reject the media. Hence, this growing pool who call for 'prove it' when presented with weapons of mass destruction in the desert as pretext to go to war, or a politician-created disaster as pretext to strip your rights (alternative solution: strip the politician of their power to stop the recurrence of disasters).
