It's been taking two weeks for the small video-size Priority box to get to him. He lives 16 hours from me. One of the packages I sent him took 10 days to get to Rochester, NY, which is 2 1/2 hours away from me. The clerk I spoke to told me, they are being swamped with packages from Amazon because of COVID. This set me off. I asked him why in the hell is Amazon getting delivery priorities over the packages from regular consumers? I pay full price, and pay the salaries of the people who work in the post office, but Amazon gets their freaking packages delivered first. USPS claims they don't have enough people to deliver packages, but they always seem to have enough people to deliver the f'ing junk mail to you.

I called the postal service two days to find out why I hadn't gotten any tracking updates on a priority package I'd sent my son 8 days before. It's been taking two weeks for the small video-size Priority box to get to him. He lives 16 hours from me. One of the packages I sent him took 10 days to get to Rochester, NY, which is 2 1/2 hours away from me. The clerk I spoke to told me, they are being swamped with packages from Amazon because of COVID. This set me off. I asked him why in the hell is Amazon getting delivery priorities over the packages from regular consumers? I pay full price, and pay the salaries of the people who work in the post office, but Amazon gets their freaking packages delivered first. USPS claims they don't have enough people to deliver packages, but they always seem to have enough people to deliver the f'ing junk mail to you.
Because Amazon was smart enough to include performance guarantees in their service agreement with USPS.

Thanks for the info. I had no knowledge about the terms of the agreement. I just knew they had one. I'm switching to UPS from now on. Like I'm over being abused by the GOP, I'm over being abused by USPS. Biden and Congress will bail them out anyway, but it won't improve their service.

Why doesn't he order them to do their jobs? They suck! All the packages I've shipped take 3 times as long to get to where they are going. And things I've ordered take 3 times as long to get to me! The packages arrive at a post office and just sit for days before they sent it to the next location!

It should go further. Every museum that receives federal dollars should be restricted to only selling goods that are made in America. Buying my two-dollar trinket for $25 at the museum is bullshit when the item has a "Made in Chyna" sticker on it. It's one of the most demoralizing feelings I've ever felt as an American.

He is doing this with the hopes that it will leave some vestiges of his policy in place. He knows that Biden can simply negate this (and all) Executive Orders.
But by putting this order on the books, Biden has to consciously, knowingly, publicly rescind it if he wants President Trump's policy decisions to cease being valid and in active use.
