As to gates, I suspect he plans to create a nice additional income stream for his depopulation schemes by leasing his land to China or like minded people. Or perhaps taking it out of production to push lab created foods like impossible meat etc and push veganism.
Knowing what types of farmland he purchased would be useful. All farmland is not alike.
So basically, Bill Gates kills everyone, then sells food from all his farms across America to feed China?
One never knows with gates. The man is a nut. But again, what type of farmland is important. China buys things like three quarters of our pork supply chain, because they eat primarily pork and in terms of domestic sales pork is the best value in terms of profit margin on finished product.
What is gates buying? Active producing land, marginal land, grazing land? Soybeans? If he is buying arable land that is a real potential issue given his involvement in the fake meat shit. Luckily he may not understand just how well cattle can adapt to marginal land conditions, or just how many of our cattle currently graze BLM leased land.
But that last point is also a concern in terms of the leftists in our government and their green bullshit. They could cripple us if they shut down leasing of fed lands in general, and will likely try to do so. Our founders didn't want the federal government owning land for a reason. And they own far too much of it.
