The gamble there is that in 10 years, the amount of damage to the constitution, individual liberties, and the judicial system will be so severe it may be irreparable.

That'd be a true revolution that would establish a new country, for all intents and purposes. It's also not a gamble, but apparently the inevitable future. Trump acts as if he's trying not to have blood on his hands. Maybe in a decade new people like the founding fathers will be made through the fire.
