Absolutely. The correct realization from this is that we must see extraordinary action in the near term, not that all hope is lost.

This is, in fact, the conclusion I believe we have been explicitly walked to.

I postulated a few months ago that, given the extent of the corruption, the most optimal solution is to hold off most ammunition to the 6th-20th to force people to jump to the solution that we need to support breaking the rules instead of continuing with the existing system.
