So your contention is that overwhelmingly, people were advocating non-violence? And anyone who damaged the capital building was not “representing Trump in a good way.”
I just want to understand, because my feeling going into the 6th was that too many of us were prepared for uncoordinated violence and it was going to come back and bite us.
Plenty of evidence that Antifa type protestors were the spearhead of violence against the capitol. The protestors banging down the doors were covered up and working as small groups both to attack the door and to form a line against any peaceful protestors trying to stop them. Also evidence of the Sullivan guy (w/CNN) planning to be there in Trump gear, and he put out calls to action for their attack. Their meeting time and location had nothing to do with the Trump rally.
Many Trump supporters were idiots to follow them into the building, no excuse, but they didn't go to the Capitol that day with the intent to break in,
So none of the violence was from Trump supporters? If that is your takeaway, then how do you square that with all the people on this site calling for violence before the 6th?
Right. You can’t. Stop pussyfooting around. We called for violent insurrection and we lost. We were probably justified, if you think the election was a fraud, but we still lost.

From all evidence I've seen., at least the instigators of any property damage were antifa.
Other than some damaged windows and papers strewn about, what damage was done?
Did patriotic Trump supporters go with intent or equipment to damage property?
