A lot of mid size companies still send that sell to Amazon. It's cheaper for them to sell it that way then to ship small parcel themselves. It's Amazon's Fulfillment by Amazon service. They ship a truckload to Amazon, Amazon houses it in their warehouses and fulfill the orders.
Amazon can also quickly maneuver you so they are in charge of both your money and stock. Looking into e-commerce taught me that. They also will steal your idea and sell them themselves.
I think conservatives should build the logistic company. No online market platform can profit without the logistic (these include the truckers too). Cut the chain and they will be weaken.
Actually better idea. Create a webcrawler that parses Amazon's webstore. Then correlates the product to the direct vendors website. Have this database searchable for anyone.
I explicitly order only heavy stuff from amazon, stuff that I know they are losing money on. Everything else, I buy direct or elsewhere. Easy for me though, since most of my home goods are asian versions, and there's a surprisingly huge amount of stuff for our cultures thats made in the US.

How about a website called fuckbezos.com. It can do all of that for you. Find the product it links you directly to the supplier and does the purchase for you. Sounds like a fair deal to me.
