I took this advice 3 years ago. Was walking to my car from a bar at around 10pm or so, a group of 7 or 8 older black teens all turned and looked at me as I was getting closer, I got a weird feeling and crossed the street... they called me a racist fuck and started yelling random things at me. I took out my phone walked at the same pace and ignored them. No shame in thinking I probably would have been fucking curb stomped otherwise. Rather be a racist with all my teeth I guess.
