This Sunday I will be going to my first church service in 4 years. I'm a combat veteran, and watching the decline of our country has filled me with hate. I hope coming back to God and submitting to his leadership will fix the hatred that I have. The hatred was fine when I was fighting in Sangin, and Gamshir. But now I need gods guidence to bring me back from the brink. I need God to guide me on how to fight for my country with the shield of God in front of me. Pray for me please.

Either way, you've got nothing.
You said that Romans 13 supports it. No doubt that it's a saying among some Christians, but they didn't get it from the Bible.
