DES (Social Security) to close all offices across the USA on Tuesday and Wednesday. Employees told to stay home.

I have a friend who works at DES. He said they got notice this afternoon. The offices are to be vacated on Tuesday and Wednesday and "they will be patrolled". Now what the hell is happening?

I assume they will get paid but don't know for sure. He just said they would be closed and they should stay home and it was supposedly nationwide.
