If NG is there because POTUS activated them, then that means he invoked the Insurrection Act. Only the DC NG can be activated by him, all others require state governors. However, if the other state governors panicked and activated them to deploy to DC, they now follow the orders of SecDef and Congress may have shot themselves in the foot.
If the Happening happens, POTUS will step aside (at least temporarily) for optics reasons most likely.
There is no scenario where the NG and Marines are not loyal to POTUS. If Biden became POTUS, I assume they'd follow him. But you can never be sure. I do see him stepping aside for a while. Let this thing play out and avoid being the spectacle. We need focus on our electoral process and he knows that. I'm actually wondering if Pompeo isn't gearing up to run. He has gotten a lot more media forward the past couple of weeks. Maybe POTUS intends to step down and back a Pompeo run once new elections are held? Its hard to tell.

The thing is... elections died on 11/3. They cannot be trusted anymore and the chaos that will flow from that hasn't even begun to be seen yet.
