Q: Who in their right mind would stop a company from having a revenue stream AND substantially increase the cost of labor at the same time?

A: China when they want to destroy our economy

Small business will be hurt, but big businesses such as Walmart and Target can afford the hit. It benefits them when small-to-medium-sized competition goes out-of-business. This is all a part of Agenda 2030, which includes the destruction of all but a few big businesses.

At least for the few years it will take for the market to adjust, making $15 worth $8-9 dollars an hour now. All prices will rise on goods/services, minus imports (they will lag, likely). Small businesses will be gone (or mostly so) and large ones will expand into that void. If/when the smaller ones return or new ones established, the market will be flooded by unemployed older people who's savings are toast, who's retirements are worthless, who are skilled and experienced and willing to work below their qualifications out of desperation, maybe having lost most of everything or being plunged into ultra-debt. The young will be fucked, yet again, as always, forever. Remember, every % of unemployment usually equates to something akin to 40k preventable deaths due to economic hardship. And that is before you flood the labor market with more immigrant caravans, massive visa issuances or blanket amnesty...

That is not even considering the eviction moratorium. The longer that goes on, the crazier it is going to get if it does expire. And it'll be almost as crazy if it doesn't. Unofficial transfer of ownership - but who is legally liable for the property? It might make the 2009 housing crisis look tame.

It's not just small business. The minimum wage is going to wipe out Healthcare. Nursing homes will be the first to fall that will trigger a domino effect.

Democrats plan for minimum wage is the fastest way to destroy the country!

It totally will. And how many millions of teenagers will not be hired for first time jobs because of it? Our public schools don't prepare kids for the real world; many teenagers got their real world schooling with entry level jobs, how to act in society if they want to make the hourly wage and pay for a car, rent an apartment, etc. Biden sucks ass.
