I used to wonder years ago how a man in Pharaoh's position could be so stubborn despite all the evidence of God's hand against Egypt. His obstinate spirit and hardened heart left all of Egypt desolate, without a green thing left in it. I'm no longer the least bit surprised.

They did so; and Aaron stretched out his hand with his staff, and struck the dust of the earth, and there were gnats on man and beast. All the dust of the earth became gnats through all the land of Egypt. The magicians tried with their secret arts to bring forth gnats, but they could not; so there were gnats on man and beast. I used to wonder about people in Revelation shaking their fists at God for the massive destruction during the tribulation. I couldn’t understand how if you knew it was God doing it that you didn’t drop to your knees immediately....now I know.
