One person clicking on 3-5 ads per minute can cost advertisers 180-900$ PER HOUR.
Do the math, 1000 of us putting in the clicks can cost 180k-1 mil in just an hour. An army of us doing it can DRAIN the advertising budgets of these companies faster than they have ever seen.
Click through rates are really low in general. Add to that the fact that most internet savvy people put adblock on too would make this VERY noticeable, and VERY FAST.
This doesn't really make the big tech companies any money, the companies that are advertising have budgets they planned to spend with them anyways.
HOWEVER if they pull their advertising budgets from these companies entirely, because their budgets get drained almost instantly with no return on their investment, Big Techs income stream gets DELETED.

Turn off adblock, when you see an Ad just click on the thing then exit out of it.
When watching youtube every ad that pops up click on it before skipping. Do your part.
