Deporting won't do anything, it's not against the rules to post tweets here. Just stop upvoting them. I stopped a long time ago.
If they keep having to review direct links then maybe, just maybe, the mods will do something about it. I don't upvote them either but they sure as fuck make it to rising and hot still daily.
Much as we all want to see Twitter and Faceberg go down, the rest of the world isn’t quite where we are yet. There is a difference between using a thing yourself, and linking to something because that’s what’s happening in the world.
There are ways to post it without linking it and giving them traffic...
Always an option, but people are lazy. We got pretty good at getting people to use archive.is on the original t_d just by encouraging/shaming people into it. Maybe we do the same thing here? It would be nice if there were a quicker alternative. I hate waiting around for a link.
Why not just code the site to substitute nitter.net for every twitter url?
