I've studied the origin of COVID-19 very intensely. There was a similar campaign to dismiss its possible origins as we've seen with election fraud.
A denial of reality attack.
Suddenly a lab origin goes from something that occasionally happens and we need to be mindful of including taking measures to minimise it to suddenly it's impossible. You can swap lab origin with election fraud.
I don't know for certain where the virus came from or how much election fraud there was but you'd sure want to take a look and find out. When they say you're not allowed to take a look that can only lead you to one conclusion.

People overlook that this kind of biological research in China is very broad with loads of people having the capability and it was also in bed with the USA and EU to the point another country could have even used China's capabilities for its own purposes (including people operating in the interests of the Democrat party). It's proven that China has the capability to have produced SARS-CoV-2 deliberately or sourced it deliberately and to have released it deliberately. No one has actually found an definitive origin for it and at this point there's a problem with that because you can put it back into the animal kingdom or you may have already made it from components in the animal kingdom destroying the trail.
Vaccines have been made using very similar technology as those vaccines work by making a recombined zoonotic virus that produces the same immune system response but not the same pathology.

You're assuming what I'm proposing conflicts with that. It doesn't have to. Personal interpretations of the law and assumptions are not very accurate. You have to test things in court.
You do need to implement it very carefully but there's nothing that would clearly prohibit the government from also running its own press. To an extend the government already publishes.
However I'm not thinking of the government truly having it's own press as well. That could end up quite bad. What I'm thinking of would be a moderate tax burden and the only part the government would have is providing the mouth piece but it would not necessarily be their mouth piece.
There might also be a branch for publishing things such as records and footage of proceedings for transparency but nothing at all editorial.
Instead people would elect the reporters or journalists and it would be their mouth piece to counter one sided monopolistic press that does not represent the people. Unlike a private enterprise it would be bound to uphold those rights. It would have no editorial powers merely providing the means of publication and broadcast.
It would also be bound to anti-competition so not intended to completely displace the private press but rather merely ensure that there is always at least one protected outlet for the voice of the people. It would be much more resistant to things like media blackout or hostile takeover.
