Good old emotional manipulation to control and change society in a way that fits their finacial/power interests and makes sure enough people view the world in a race v race manner that they are distracted from the source thats actually behind the issues of the day and too busy being emotionally attached to that perspective to take the time to hear other points of view out and reconsider their position with a logical mindset.

They just want money and power and are willing to turn society against itself to get as much as possible regardless of the damage it causes. Evil humans being evil.
