PEDE NERDS: win95 there was a program called "fred" it was an AI assistant kinda like paperclip but was live AI back in 95 like a Tamagotchi that walked around on your desktop on windows ? also there was a parrot ? just tryin to bring all this back

any nerd pede that can think back to the cat scanner like joyon pulitzer made for barcode days, i had this anime guy that was early AI from a CD-ROM my mom gave me in like 95' was called "fred" any info is greatly appreciated. He was like Tamagotchi for windows, had to feed him and engage with him but it taught you windows, i want to find it again

Was it the paperclip thing... but in the settings you could change what it looked like? And you could change to fred? I remember it on excel hints & tips

i dont think it was a change to fred thing maybe ? its been so long thats why im asking from what i recall it was a 3rd party program that was to beat bob. but would stay up no matter what program, mainly to keep you busy and learning while web browsing
