15 years in EMS. fire trucks often get dispatched to no fires. I’m not familiar with how DC operates specifically but from my experience like, 80% of fire calls are not fire related. Fire alarms, CO alarms, in some cases medical or other emergencies (again, depending on what their 911 services are like there in DC) fire will be dispatched to help medic crews. It could be any slew of things. Don’t get your panties twisted until we know facts. Where I used to work sometimes it would seem like it was a massive fucking event....when it was just a CO alarm or something silly.
